Is paying the premium at a Tanishq store for a diamond ring worth it?

I am looking to buy an Engagement Diamond ring. I have checked out many stores including Tanishq, Manikchands, and other local jewellers in Chennai. Tanishq is at a premium of around 10-20%. Is it worth buying at Tanishq. Is it absolutely trustworthy.

NONE of the diamond stores is legitimate . . . they are all crooks, and you are being ripped off.
Do some reading about the De Beers cartel.
They control the diamond trade and have forced prices up to about
three times their true value.
